I am confident that with the support of my new teammates, we will be able to achieve great things together. I can't wait to get started and make an impact at my new club."

Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the most celebrated and successful soccer players of all time, has made the surprise move to join Al Nassr, a professional soccer club based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The news was announced on July 10, 2019, and Ronaldo's contract with Al Nassr has been reported to be worth over $214.5 million. At the time of the transfer, Ronaldo was 34 years old and had just helped lead Portugal to victory in the UEFA Nations League.

Al Nassr sees the signing of Ronaldo as a major coup and the club's management stated that they are excited to have such world-class talent on their team. They believe that Ronaldo's presence will help elevate the club to new heights. The Portuguese forward's time with Al Nassr got off to a strong start, as he scored on his debut for the club in a friendly match against Liga MX side Club America. He went on to score his first competitive goal for the club in a league match against Al Feiha.

Throughout the season, Ronaldo proved to be a valuable asset for Al Nassr, scoring 28 goals in 43 appearances across all competitions. His performances helped lead the team to a second-place finish in the league, their best finish in over a decade. In addition to his on-field contributions, Ronaldo's presence also had a major impact off the field. The club's merchandise sales skyrocketed and they saw a significant increase in attendance at their home matches.

Overall, Ronaldo's time with Al Nassr can be considered a success. While he may not have reached the same level of individual success that he had enjoyed with Juventus and Real Madrid, he was able to help lead the team to their best finish in years and had a major impact on the club's financial success. As Ronaldo's contract with Al Nassr comes to an end, it remains to be seen where he will end up next. Regardless of where he ends up, his time with Al Nassr will always be remembered as a memorable chapter in his legendary career
